If we're going to means test providers before they can get money then lets do ATT et al. I agree that funding any technology that does not have the capacity to grow should be modulated. Starlink is not the only one in that boat either.

I have a general issue with subsidizing non-fiber networks then acting like the job is done but at least the wireless ones tend to deliver some service for the subsidy unlike the big players.

FYI: The Postal Service is delivering one shipment of 4 COVID tests per residential address. Enter your name, address and email at usps.com/covidtest to request a shipment. It takes about 30 seconds to complete the order form.

Tomorrow, October 29, is the 53rd anniversary of the Birth of the Internet! Happy birthday, old friend. Let’s remember to acknowledge that event when the first Internet message was sent from UCLA to SRI on October 29, 1969. Does anyone remember what that first message was?

.CSPAN's #HouseSpeaker vote coverage is getting kudos. FYI: Our non-profit network doesn't get a dime of gov $$. Sadly, we're not avail to all pay TV customers, importantly YouTube TV and Hulu. Please help convince them to add C-SPAN to their lineups by liking and retweeting.

Geoff Huston is probably today's most important thinker about the state of the internet and where it's going. Once again his recent APNIC presentation is a masterful discourse on how the internet REALLY works. #APNIC youtube.com/watch?v=gxO73f…
