Robert Kennedy spoke on the #SLU quad #OTD in 1960, at a campaign event for his brother John F. Kennedy.

#OTD in 1964, Martin Luther King spoke on the #SLU campus. Dr. King held a press conference in Pius Library in the afternoon, then gave a speech in the West Pine Gym (now the Ctr for Global Citizenship) later that evening.

Today was Saint Louis University Day at the 1904 World's Fair! Activities included a celebration of #SLU's 75th anniversary, which was held inside the Festival Hall on what is now Art Hill (pictured) (2.0.1018)

204 years ago today, Fr. Francois Niel posted an announcement in the Missouri Gazette, announcing that a new "academy for young gentlemen" was enrolling students. #SLU held its first classes that November.
