MacKinnon was probably 2nd/3rd line center for his first 3-4 years in the league. Barkovs first two years he was probably 2nd line or worse. Stamkos and Aho were likely always on the first line. Suzuki is only in his 3rd year and he finally has an reliable scorer to play with.

LAK playing EDM is pretty intriguing. LA has the ability to shutdown McDavid and Draisaitl with Danault and Kopitar. The problem is their D is pretty weak without Doughty, I don't see how they will beat EDM with Edler as their 1D.

The Habs were able to get Dach by having a deep prospect pool and by having loads of draft picks. Yes there were still decent players available at 13, but Dach has shown some flashes of being ready good.

I really don't see the point of getting PLD. Yes he is a decent player, but why accelerate the rebuild when there is an insane draft next year. I would focus on getting/keeping low cost vets that can be mentors and be flipped at the deadline.

For everyone panicking the #SPX is still overvalued based on historical PE.
