I'm a PGY6 doctor and I can't land a plastics job. Extremely positive interview feedback but outcompeted due to 200+ applicants per post If we're short on surgeons why am I having to fight so hard to do the job I love. Could I live my dream without the title?

This is ridiculous! We clearly have a significant cohort of consultant colleagues who are lazy and self-interested! Clearly patient care is of no interest to these folks

Excellent work and very important for the NHS and reducing burden of disease. I would love to see the same trial again but adding in an arm with mounjaro/ozempic. Surely this would be even more effective and help with long term prevention and costs.

This guy who was a so called golden boy by the organisation (not sure on what metric) got 8 month suspension for sexual harassment. The anaesthetist doctor got 6 months suspension for using wife’s Oyster card! Our disciplinary system is not fit for purpose!

I spoke to a hospital the other day with one one permanent oncologist in the whole hospital! I found this absolutely mental! It is not good enough for the local patient population!

DAUK has taken the rare and serious step of writing to the Professional Standards Authority (Professional Standards Authority) regarding the MPTS decision on James Gilbert. We've urged the PSA to refer this case to the High Court, viewing the 8-month suspension as woefully inadequate.

This is insane. What is needed is to increase places for cmt and registrar training and limit entry into the UK for non-UK trained doctors if we have such ridiculous competition ratios. Wes Streeting MP
