β€œCertain people? Do you have a girlfriend or something?” She asked, the last part almost a whisper. If someone was going to get mad at her for hanging out with him, maybe it’s best she leaves. But she doesn’t want to, there’s something about this guy that draws her in.

β€œOhhhh, I understand. I have a very overprotective brother myself.” She laughs, surprised at how relieved she was when he said he was single. She just met this guy, but wanted to get to know him.

β€œMaybe we can try your favorite restaurant. What’s your favorite thing to eat?” She felt comfortable, gently walking with his arm around her. It was like she had known him for ages instead of just meeting.

Her stomach chose that moment to let her know she was hungry, with a low growl. She pursed her lips and nodded. β€œI should eat,” she motioned for him to lead the way.

Millie couldn’t stop the heat from coating her cheeks as he entwined their hands. She didn’t want to let go once they arrived at the restaurant he chose, but she reluctantly did. β€œAre you sure you’re not hungry?” She asked, looking over the menu.

She was a little self conscious at first, eating in front of this handsome stranger. But something about his presence relaxed her, she felt comfortable around him. β€œSo do you go to school around here or have you graduated already?”

It didn’t take long before she was clearing her plate, satisfied. She enjoyed his company however, and wasn’t sure she was ready for the β€˜date’ to end. If that’s what you could call it. β€œTell me about your sister you mentioned.” She wanted to keep the conversation going.
