DAY SEVEN at Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Melbourne comedian & songwriter Darby James at Summerhall is an intimate, funny account of his journey, as a 30-something gay man, to becoming a sperm donor. He’s an engaging presence — and the songs are delightful.

I ended my Edinburgh Festival Fringe visit on Day Seven by returning to see Salty Brine which I also saw the night before for a second time: the boldest, most brilliant drag experience I’ve had since #TaylorMac; he’s apparently got a repertoire of 20 other shows. I want to see them all!

My farewell breakfast view to Edinburgh today, near where I was staying. What a beautiful city, with the countryside in touching distance.

Now I’m on the train heading back south…. Love the views from the East coast line between Edinburgh and Newcastle!

Back at Next To Normal — my ninth time (so far) for Michael Longhurst’s brilliant production: 6x at the Donmar Warehouse, 3rd time at Wyndham’s now. It ends Sept 21, so how many more times can I squeeze it in before then?
