Hear hear, Pete Buttigieg! What a beautiful pic too!
Another inspiring picture from The Democrats convention!
DAY SEVEN at Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Melbourne comedian & songwriter Darby James at Summerhall is an intimate, funny account of his journey, as a 30-something gay man, to becoming a sperm donor. He’s an engaging presence — and the songs are delightful.
I ended my Edinburgh Festival Fringe visit on Day Seven by returning to see Salty Brine which I also saw the night before for a second time: the boldest, most brilliant drag experience I’ve had since #TaylorMac; he’s apparently got a repertoire of 20 other shows. I want to see them all!

The efforts of the legacy American media to “normalise” Donald J. Trump reaches its nadir with this New York Times Opinion piece by the editor-in-chief of National Review, rendering both publications untrustworthy in an instant. Wowsers! nytimes.com/2024/08/26/opi…
Wise words from the wonderful Melissa Errico. I’m learning to simplify my life right now, as I wrestle with an ongoing depression. And to that end, my husband and I are spending a lot of time at the seaside at the moment — and a lot less time for me inside theatres!
Back at Next To Normal — my ninth time (so far) for Michael Longhurst’s brilliant production: 6x at the Donmar Warehouse, 3rd time at Wyndham’s now. It ends Sept 21, so how many more times can I squeeze it in before then?

Inspiringly honest interview with #GailPorter in The Guardian on surviving what life has thrown at her. As I’m in the midst of a prolonged depression, this is chastening reading — but also gives me hope. Thank you, Gail. theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/a…
I can’t wait to see this pair in Guys & Dolls (Show) at Bridge Theatre — michael simkins & Gina Beck. I’m going next Monday (Sept 9)
