There has been so many challenges ongoing in my scientific career and project. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I feel more and more alive! I am really happy to be alive and doing science.

Really excited to say that my lab's paper on color transitions in Mimulus sect. Erythranthe is out! We found that some traits demonstrate evolutionary convergence in phenotype & genotype, while others are divergent, & that this matters for bee choice! nature.com/articles/s4146…

🔥Super excited to share our latest work out now in Science Magazine science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… This paper describes the discovery of "glycosyrin" a small molecule produced by the bacterial pathogen P. syringae to manipulate glycobiology inside host plants during infection.🧵1/20

We laughed, we cried, we said goodbye. Today we send off Barbara as she starts her PhD in Wageningen. It’s been a joy having her in our group as a Pre-Doc—she integrated beautifully at TSL and will be deeply missed. Go crush it, Barbara!
