The SF Symphony is hoping to start off on a high note. And they've collaborated with African-American Shakespeare Company to do it. sfexaminer.com/culture/s-f-sy…
I can’t believe I get to say this… last night at my SF Symphony debut narrating “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” An honor to share a stage with African-American Shakespeare Company my new friends in the cast and the orchestra that made me fall in love with classical music as a child.
The short concert came just a one night after SF Symphony's opening gala, but packed in enough to make Joshua Kosman eager for the rest of the season! trib.al/X3P37Pp
So very happy to be back in San Fran with the incredible SF Symphony San Francisco Symphony Musicians and one of my favorite conductors Esa-Pekka Salonen ! Mahler 2 ❤️
Dvorák thought American musicians were always "pushing", trying to run before they could walk. For SFChronicle Datebook, I talked with Trevor Weston about that quality, and how he embraced it for his commissioned orchestral work for SF Symphony datebook.sfchronicle.com/music/from-blu…
When Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 in three SF Symphony concerts, he will continue The City's special connection with the great Austrian composer. sfexaminer.com/culture/esa-pe…
Tonight, Saturday and Sunday matinee don’t miss Esa-Pekka Salonen SF Symphony, SF symphony chorus, Golda Schultz and me in Mahler’s 2nd symphony, along with Trevor Weston world premiere “Push”.

Waking up with gratitude, respect, love for Esa-Pekka Salonen SF Symphony SF Symph Chorus for an incredible evening last night of Mahler 2. I am so thankful and honored to be the mezzo soloist. ❤️
25 years of @sfsymphony and MTT playing Mahler has been glorious, and now it's time for something new. For SFChronicle Datebook, I reviewed last night's Resurrection with Esa-Pekka Salonen, who has a very different take on this material datebook.sfchronicle.com/music/review-w…
From the terrace, I looked down at EPS, he had become a wizard, sparks flying out of his baton, a conduit from Mahler in heaven to the entire symphony. It was a resurrection! That hall is alive again and this a new, golden age. SF Symphony Esa-Pekka Salonen #mahler2

I’m happy to be back in San Francisco this week to play the world premiere of Magnus Lindberg’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the SF Symphony and Esa-Pekka Salonen. Join us for one of the concerts at Davies Symphony Hall on October 13, 14 & 15 at 7:30pm. 🎟 bit.ly/SFS-Lindberg-W…
"It is almost like an opera—it’s so rich in its storytelling. It’s huge. In a way, it’s the biggest piece I’ve written," says Magnus Lindberg of his Piano Concerto No. 3, which premieres tonight with Yuja, SF Symphony, and Esa-Pekka Salonen.🎹 📰More: boosey.com/cr/news/Magnus…
