Two key points that we need to remember about the new SLD (Steatotic Liver Disease) nomenclature: 1️⃣ SLD ≠ MASLD — it also includes Alcohol-Related Liver Disease (ALD). 2️⃣ A person with metabolic syndrome + 10 drinks/day has ALD, not MetALD.
