Some training days are better than others.

Tonight will be Staack’s last night hitting the streets. Upon hearing the news of his retirement he decided to sleep through roll call. He has been an awesome partner and asset to the department and community. Happy Retirement old man!

Staack celebrated his retirement with a great group of friends who brought plenty of gifts. The tag said “built tough”. (Approximately 30 minutes later ⬇️ )

Sad day in the Staack house. Today I had to say goodbye to my stay at home partner, Packer. You welcomed me in your house 4 years ago and put up with a young crazy Malinois. We became best buds and it’s not going to be the same with you gone. Rest easy friend.

Staack is in some good hands as a routine issue turned into a life saving surgery this morning. Updates to follow 🤞

Staack is back home and resting. Unfortunately it was necessary to amputate a rear leg. This guy is incredibly tough and started walking 30 minutes after surgery and day 2 he is conquering stairs. Very grateful for our amazing vet and all of their staff!
