Hey Moony Mcmoonface - Account archived due to NSL, you should name the newly discovered moon S/2018 J1 Pheraea. Pheraea was involved with Zeus, and their daughter was found and saved by a shepherd, or should I say Sheppard. #NameJupitersMoons
This is a great way to engage citizen scientists in the work Carnegie Earth & Planets Laboratory is doing.

Hey Moony Mcmoonface - Account archived due to NSL the obvious choices are: 1. Full 2. Super 3. Blood 4. New 5. Pie 5. Walk. You’re welcome.
The #NameJupitersMoons constest ended last night. Thank you to all who participated!! We got entries that ranged from silly to scholarly and we loved them all. We hope to hear back from International Astronomical Union (IAU) within a few months of submitting our top choices for their review.
“I was blown away by the enthusiastic response for this contest,” said Carnegie Earth & Planets Laboratory' Scott Sheppard. “I hope the thought of these moons let everyone ponder the wonder and amazement that is our universe.” #NameJupitersMoons carnegiescience.edu/news/results-a…

I named a moon of Jupiter! Me and 15 other folks suggested 'Eirene' back in the spring, and the IAU confirmed it today for Jovian moon S/2003 J5. Thanks Carnegie Science for doing science outreach, it was super fun to get involved! 🚀 #NameJupitersMoons carnegiescience.edu/news/results-a…

For Inuit group of satellites i propose the name Amajurjuk, after the mythical ogress with a large cloak who steals children and places them in space on her back formed of driftwood or in a dorsal pouch. NameSaturn'sMoons #NameSaturnsMoons Image by Wayne Reynolds.
