We set up a team to help reduce complexity in the business. Called the “cut the crap committee”, they have already reduced the number of separate monthly reports by a staggering 482. We clearly had too many, but thanks to the team for their great work on this.

Some thoughts on GCSE-eve. 1. This cohort of pupils have dealt with remarkable and unexpected challenges. 2. It’s more important that they get what they need for their next step in education and training than headline figures. 3. We are proud of them - and always will be!
