BREAKING: Highway 13 shut down after mile 1 for an officer involved MVA. Lifelight has been requested by SAFE. Traffic is at a stand still for both inbound and outbound lanes.

DPS concluded their investigation around 10pm ET and highway 13 was re-opened to traffic. The DPS trooper is said to have received minor injuries and was released by EMS at the scene. The driver was treated for serious injuries and is facing charges this morning.
