Gonna need quite the comeback effort to get this series squared up in the next two games. And maybe a sense of urgency that’s been non-existent Everyone needs to be better

Might need a double take 😳 Make it 22-1 for Pitt Baseball in the top of the 5th over No. 12 WVU! Yes, you read that right. #NCAABaseball x 🎥 ESPN+

Drew Allar has all the tools to be a good QB. But he was 0-6 against top-6 teams in college and was as unclutch and unreliable in big moments as any QB I've ever seen. He has none of the intangibles to be a good NFL QB. If anything, he's a project -- and that's not good enough.

A look at the #Pirates catcher situation… When Joey Bart starts they have a .400 winning percentage (65-97 pace) When Henry Davis starts they have a .688 winning percentage (111-51 pace) They were over .500 when Davis started last season too.

That one stings. Dominated that game and overtime and just couldn’t tuck one. Can’t dig yourself a 3-0 hole - had to be perfect from then on out, and even with that, there’s always a chance a game like that can end the season

This isn't just a Chandler thing either Carmen Mlodzinski: .722 OPS with Bart, .620 OPS with Davis Ashcraft: .729 OPS with Bart, .598 OPS with Davis Dennis Santana: .599 OPS with Bart, .518 OPS with Davis

I won’t judge a single pitcher appearance when Bart is behind the plate. He instantly makes all of our pitchers worse. He needs DFA’d, he has not further here future here and we’re just wasting our time

Hard to say it’s the main reason, but it’s easy to say that our staff is more comfortable with Hank calling games. Bubba shook off Bart a ton last night. Pairing a rookie with control issues with an awful catcher isn’t a good place to start. It does matter - more on his plate
