#Ecosystem-based #Adaptation has connections to nature-based solutions and social-ecological restoration approaches & these can be explored more deeply. We need to pay attention to how we can develop & promote stewardship of the its intervention sites by the local communities.

We appreciate PlanetBirdsong's collaboration with Center of Excellence in Biodiversity & NRM University of Rwanda for organizing trainings in Bird Sound Recording. The purpose of collecting bird sound data in #Rwanda is to build up a set of under-recorded species songs and calls for use in: #Threads 👇👇

3) A medium to encourage and train students and potential students in rigorous scientific method, in an engaging way. 4) Develop and deepen the knowledge of Rwandan birds for bird tourism guides and to encourage Rwandan #ornithology, throughout the birding community.

It's collaborative learning experience where the training enabled individuals to collect bird sounds properly. Special thanks to Hilary MacBean who played a big role by training our Honorary Research Fellows and professional interns.
