Quoted from the FT: “The world’s leading economies have agreed to a deal to spare the US’s largest companies from paying more corporate tax overseas, throwing into doubt the status of the biggest global tax deal in over a century.” This is very sad. Nobody who cares about the

Lengthy interview in this week’s Irish media in which I explain why the EU-Mercosur deal is good for the EU incl Ireland, and why IE worries about the beef sector while understandable, are misplaced. I am confident IE will in the end agree the deal. farmersjournal.ie/agribusiness/n…

A 25% tariff on Japan and Korea will make it more expensive to produce goods in the USA. 47% of US imports from Japan are capital goods. 43% of US imports from Korea are capital goods. Capital goods = "goods that are used in producing other goods"

On Europe and the 10% tariff: I am going to cut your arm. Please do not, please, please Ok, I shall be generous, and just cut your thumb. Thank you, thank you. You are so generous. [I very much hope i am wrong]

- #EU-Binnenmarkt vertiefen.

If Trump doesn’t reach deals with big U.S. trade partners before August 1 and instead imposes threatened higher tariffs, I expect U.S. trade war costs will finally start to bite. An analysis: 1. Credit to Trump, to date trade war costs have been lower than initial estimates.

Zoll-Deal: Das beste schlechte Abkommen. Treffende Bezeichnung.
