We call it “home”, unlike Western media’s emphasis on being a tourist destination. The fact is not “of the tens of millions of tourists” but “of people”. It would not make it to the headline that way though.

BRIEF: In the long run, Turkey’s Law 2012/3305 reduced income inequality between regions only moderately, due to migration and spillovers. Read the new work from @EnghinAtalay, UChicago Economics' @AliHortacsu, Mustafa Runyun, Chicago Booth's Chad Syverson and Mehmet Fatih Ulu:

Hi #EconTwitter I am planning to build a dataset using open access Github info to find the effect of gen. AI's on labor prod. As my best knowledge, Github does'nt track info about the time it takes to create a file. Is there anyone who encountered this issue? Please share it.

Most of the reason in quotes resemble an introduction to SOP or letter of application ahahaha My reason is to take too much formal/math econ and math courses :D And no offense but econ seems more or less more credible and rigorous than other social sciences at that time to me.

Whenever I attempt the data cleaning process and struggle with the codebooks, I imagine how data collection teams discuss and debate inconsistencies—sometimes even feeling desperate over irremediable cases. PSID gives me hope for the future, as if saying, "We hope someday..." 😄

My candidates are Athey, Abadie, and Chernozhukov. But considering their generations and overall impact, only Katz and Autor remain.
