The NTP has confirmed 4 Tornadoes (over water) in ON - in eastern ON over Lake Ontario (2) and the St. Lawrence River (1) on Aug 10, and over Lake Nipissing in northeastern ON on Aug 11. All rated EF0-Default given no reported damage. Details: uwo.ca/ntp/blog/2024/… #ONstorm

The ECCC Canadian Hurricane Centre is charting the progress of Tropical Storm Ernesto, currently affecting parts of the Caribbean. The storm is expected to become a hurricane and affect Bermuda this weekend. Impacts in eastern Canada or adjacent waters, if any, would not occur until next week.

Models signaling a more eastward trend for #Ernesto as it moves into Canadian waters early next week. This means less of a direct impact for NS and the Maritimes, but eastern NL could still be in line for some of the heaviest rain and strongest winds from the storm.
