We say kaddish today to mark Trans Day of Remembrance. We are all made B’tzelem Elohim and celebrate infinite expressions of the Divine, keeping in our hearts trans people who have been lost to violence, hate crimes, and suicide this year. May their memories be for a blessing.

(1/2) On July 18, 1994, a van bomb attacked the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA—the central organization of the Jewish community in Buenos Aires), killing 85 people and injuring hundreds. This bombing is Argentina’s deadliest terrorist attack to date.

We are watching with horror the devastating events at Congregation Beth Israel in Texas, and are praying for the safety of Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker and the other hostages. We pray for a swift and safe resolution to this horrifying situation.
