Ken Kirtland IV Oh you wanna learn about the oceans of Europa? That’s a neat idea, but have you considered giving Aerojet Rocketdyne 200 million dollars to refurbish an engine?

These letters are lunacy. Just read them. They aren’t even pretending to have an economic emergency anymore, it’s just the president personally setting taxes. You can support import taxes, but we fought a revolution for the right to VOTE on them via representatives in Congress.

"The declaration of a national emergency is not a talisman enabling the President to rewrite the tariff schedules" - U.S. v. Yoshida (1975) IOW, the court case that the DOJ cites to defend its IEEPA tariffs explicitly rules out what Trump is doing right now.

I wish Elon Musk was putting resources into supporting ballot initiatives for electoral reforms like Ranked Choice Voting (or other similar solutions) that could let third parties have a fairer shot at winning, without the risk of them just being a spoiler.
