Yes, Governor Brian P. Kemp, it is exactly the day to talk about safety and policy (and about all you soul-less NRA puppets who keep spewing that line).

The only thing that stops a bad person with a gun is a good person with a checkbook. Missouri has similar gun laws, and tomorrow it might be us (again). We don't need more discussion. To rip this out by the roots, we need to fund Democratic candidates for state legislature.

Is it just me? Days like this, I keep holding my breath— hoping the most recent school shooting does not set off any others.

I hate how years of school shootings in the news and shooter drills changed me as a teacher, my students, my own kid growing up—darkening how we see school, how students see each other, the whole, heartbreaking deal.
