Introducing a fantastic new team of volunteers from Basingstoke Fire Station - and a few more that couldn’t make it today. The team will assist all crews here and our wider group with community safety and risk reduction activities. Thanks to Simon and Chris for organising the day 👍👏

For the 8th time in the last couple of weeks we have 2 of our fantastic new volunteers working Basingstoke Fire Station today. 👏They have already delivered a couple of safe and well visits today, now working with our administrator Chris, assisting our crews by booking in future ones. 👍

Had a catch up today with someone I worked with in 14 yrs ago when he was one of our fire cadets. Now nearly 30 yrs old he’s just been signed off as a competent FF in Kent. 👏- means a lot that he came back to say thanks and shows that you should never give up chasing your dreams

Smoke alarms save lives - including 🐢 ones👍 IEC and post incident CS activity also carried out by the crew

Interesting use of a drone yesterday to ID many hot spots. Thanks to all crews who worked extremely hard over very arduous terrain to get the fire under control, big thanks to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire Control for the resourcing even though several other incidents were happening simultaneously

Off station iec training this morning for RW Basingstoke Fire Station at the hospital training facility with the team teaching our crews casually care techniques

An evening saying thank you to our Basingstoke Fire Station volunteers for all they have done over the year, approx 200 S&W visits completed and usually somewhere in the region of 100 hours commitment and support per month given - we appreciate it 👍

Good stop by @fleet04 Rushmoor Fire Station at a fire domestic this evening. Another good example of how the closing of doors slows the spread of fire.
