I’m not sure if the X algorithm changed, or I just found the right mix. But lately, my timeline is filled with people building real stuff talking about real stuff, and legit capital allocators talking about what it takes to make it work I’m loving it right now.

Does ANYONE here have a decent contact in legal at Santander bank? Met with the IRS today in an 18-month long saga to figure out how someone stole my identity and claimed a refund in my name (6 figures, it's a huge issue) They finally did enough work to figure out the refund

We had a part go bad that took a machine down and the OEM lead time is unacceptable. We found a brand new part sitting in China, has anyone ever flown to China (or paid someone to do this from there) and gotten a part back in through proper customs? I don’t have a VISA or similar

Also, when we discuss re-industrializing the US, this is just another of the many problems to solve. Numerous options to get this part in China or Hong Kong sitting on the shelf, potentially months to have one manufactured and delivered to the US (this part is made in Germany)

My day in SMB … hotel wake up and get a run in while on call, discussion on current cash and go forward with a buddy’s biz, call on my biz new products that will add millions in sales, customer call mad at us because not moving fast enough on that machine, text saying that

I’ve got a good friend with a very similar story … good read. Do your homework, “if it’s too good to be true” adage is very real

One of the absolute hardest tasks in SMB is to take a business that has shrunk substantially and make it profitable again. You can almost never simply cut from the existing org, you have to go back to first principles and redo processes, systems, roles, pay, what you provide,

I can’t agree with this more. Sean and I talked about this a few weeks ago and I didn’t tag him in something similar. During ZIRP when everything was up and to the right it was easy. Then the world gets hard from both internal and external forces … woof If you enjoy chewing
