This morning @_megconley, Donna Kelly & I were interviewed by NPR's On Point about Mormonism, women & domestic violence. Heavy conversation. I'm still writing/processing.

Mormonism gave me an adopted culture: Russian. Then Mormonism and Russia both betrayed me. It is a double estrangement and makes me feel quite alone. Good news is I have other cultures to adopt now. I joined the SFGMC and it has been incredible to feel adopted again.

I believe current Mormon leadership is functionally atheist. They focus on manipulating people to do things and giving dire warnings that God’s work is about to fail due to disobedience. If they believed in an omnipotent God, they would know his work cannot fail.
