Indie devs, what do you use for payments? Gumroad seems expensive, but I really love the social proof aspect of it. Seeing reviews and number of sales must surely help with sales? There are cheaper options like paddle, or lemonsqueezy, but no social proof, afaik.

I sold Beam in November last year. It was my first indie project, but I had to let it go due to not having a lot of free time back then. Now the situation with the kids is much better so I can build new apps in the evenings. Trying to make a $1 again soon :)

Been thinking about this recently. People pay premium for a lot of handcrafted products. Wondering if this could happen in web dev too when ai “takes over.” Obviously no chance to compete in speed and price. Creativity? Originality? Human touch? Probably yes

Usually I’m pretty exhausted after work and kids are asleep so I wanna try something new next week. - go to sleep at 7pm - wake up at 2-3am - work on side projects till around 7 when my kids wake up ~4 hrs before work sounds like a good deal
