Extremely sad to hear the passing of Prof. Negishi. I remember him walking across the hallways of Purdue Chem and saying hello to students on his way. What struck me was that he always seemed to be so down to earth even though he won the Nobel Prize.

Excited to share our new review about all things MIBI, out in Annual Reviews! As multiplexed imaging technology has advanced, there has been a demand for new analysis tools. We discuss these tools and show examples in various contexts. Michael Angelo 🧵annualreviews.org/doi/full/10.11…

So great to see this out online today Immunity Such an honor to work with a fantastic team of brilliant minds and generous mentors in developing methods and ideas to understand host-viral interactions in their native context. Looking forward to more! cell.com/immunity/fullt…

Excited to share the latest preprint with Michael Angelo! While imaging studies often focus on cell objects, images capture significant info outside of cells. Enter Pixie, a pipeline for the quantitative annotation of both pixel and cell level features🧵biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Day 1 of the MIBI workshop is starting now! Looking forward to a ton of cool talks. Today's talks are centered around how to generate highly multiplexed image datasets. It's not too late to register for the virtual portion: angelolab.com/mibi-workshop

I am glad that this issue is gaining attention. Getting research published in smaller journals does not mean that the research was unworthy or that it was easy, it is a matter of scope and fit.

Feeling extremely grateful to be part of Stanford Pathology DE&I committee and its tremendous efforts and initiatives! As the first event of the season, we organised a fair where various booths highlighted various issues in Academia and Medicine. It was a huge success!!
