Uptill now Designated officers were not empowered to take actions against illegal construction in declared slum area.today municipal commissioner has directed law officer to modify gazzette to enable DOs to take action in declared slums.

Today Municipal Commissioner has directed fire deptt. to form two separate wings in fire brigade department. One is for fire fighting and another is for issuance of various NOCs & implementation of Maharashtra fire prevention and life safety measure act.
