As alderman Coetzee reg 2 I heard this explosion, rushed to pyramid substation that caught fire, fire dept was on the scene very fast, about R50 million damage roughly. We assisted and extinguished when power was off

Reacted very quickly to stop the fire but with the transformer oil exploded damage was very serious. Substation destroyed. Fire dept responded quickly but damage is done. We tried our best. Please be patient

A very succesful meeting held with affected residence around Pyramid substation that burned. Discussed plan off action ,supply off water and patrols to protect our services while we rebuild the substation, informed community stand together.forwsrd we build a nation.

This is something to be proud off, after the fire destroyed the substation officials working non stop to rebuild a complete station. Removed the old transformer,replaced with the new, new panels, new cables ,this is a very great task and leadership is shown. Day 6 today.Thank you

After the pyramid substation was destroyed by a fire, it was rebuild in 9x days and we are nearing completion to restore power to 8x areas. We are so proud of the teams and the hard work in this heat, a job well done. .together we can do this.
