I'll never forget this day... This was my first experience with a derecho, the summer before I went to grad school for meteorology. I'd never seen a storm like it!

‼️ For the first time in MONTHS (almost all of 2022), my backyard isn't a dirt pit!!! Turf was just put in today, and I'm able to enjoy a gorgeous evening... To top it off, I've got a view of a distant thunderstorm glowing in the sunset and reflecting off the water 😍 #azwx

(1/2) BIG UPDATE‼️This screenshot might not look very exciting, but it represents a huge next step! In addition to working as a Faculty Associate teaching Meteorology 👩‍🏫 at Arizona State University- I will also be enrolling as a PhD student 👩‍🎓 this fall!

(2/2) And what better timing (hello Apple Vision Pro 🥽), I am going to be studying Media Arts and Sciences, specifically researching the use of VR for my online meteorology labs! I can't wait to take on this new adventure 😃
