Ischia is renowned for its thermal waters and we are fortunate to have a thermal pool at our digs. The water is naturally that colour. I have no idea what it does, but it is supposed to be very good for you.

Saw a poster today for a La Dolce Vita theme evening in Ischia. Would have lapped that up all night long. Unfortunately, we missed it by 48 hours.

One of the undoubted highlights of our time in Napoli was getting to see Caravaggio's masterpiece, The Seven Works Of Mercy at Pio Monte Della Misericordia. As with all Caravaggio's work, seeing it in real life is just unbelievable. It takes about an hour to take it all in.

These aren't castles, palaces, or cathedrals. They're all water towers, literally just bits of infrastructure relating to water management. Is it worth the additional cost and resources to make things look like this... or is it a waste?
