New: Major League Soccer to shift competition calendar starting 2027 to July-to-May format with winter break mid-December to mid-February. 91% of current schedule remains in the new calendar.
After 30 years, Major League Soccer Board of Governors voted to move the schedule to late summer-to-spring.
