In Jesus' incarnation, the world had a walking, talking, powerful embodiment of God the Father, and few could refute his divinity. Today, in denying the gifts of the Spirit, we limit our demonstration of Jesus to speech and academia, and many receive a Jesus foreign to scripture.

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Chad/Michelle! A beautiful family in every way. Maybe this action-packed moment leaves y’all breathless in raising these 4 lively little boys; but stay the course, trust God’s word, pray always, teach them, & somehow grace will see you thru!

The spirit of Boone, Carson, Lewis, and Crockett never died- they’re found in the hearts of today’s young explorers and pioneers. As soon as the first snow of 2022 was over, these little fearless travelers suited up for a trek in a trackless wilderness covered with virgin snow.

The weather gave us a small sliver of time before the rain came in, so the old adage, “make hay while the sun shines” is appropriate. Here, Michelle Wilkerson⁩ and 4 sons put 50lbs of potatoes in the ground, and with God’s blessing we look to harvest many many bushels this summer.

When weather warms and days get longer even bears, reptiles, and birds sense springtime’s arrival. Here, Papa and half his grandchildren sense the primal urge to prep the ground, plant the seeds, and trust the ground for harvest. How much more do we sense the hope of His coming?

Two years ago this field was grown up with mixed hardwoods, pines, and impenetrable undergrowth. Here, some of the grandchildren burn the last pile of brush before disking and planting seeds. If God is a consuming fire, could it be some of our fiery trials determine our increase?

The latest to Papa’s grandson list reaches his 1st birthday. Blessed with caring parents & 3 older brothers, this lil guy brings spice & charm to every room he enters! May God fill him with joy for the journey, experiences for understanding, and love for the jolts along the way!

Holding the little hands of 8 grandchildren, exploring with them the wonders of the seashore, laughing spontaneously at silly things, telling stories of Papa’s younger days, and the myriad other moments that fill the days of summer vacations alert us well of the brevity of life.

Maybe there’s a better way to wind down from a ministry filled day, but presently I can’t imagine anything greater! Squeezing 4 grandsons before they “hit the hay” is much needed group therapy, and hearing them give thanks to God for today’s special moments is of another order.

First born child, gifted academically, naturally athletically, devoted wife, consummate mother of 4 sons, beautiful in grace & class, loyal to family, faithful to Christ, filled w Spirit, obsessed w excellence in word/deed, intriguing personality, and kind. ⁦Michelle Wilkerson⁩

Had this crew on the front row at church yesterday. Their exuberant worship was contagious, their boldness an inspiration! No fabrication, no pretense, no sense of duty nor ostentation. Unknowingly, they demonstrated the purity and genuineness creation was intended to enjoy.

Could center on the loss and death of late, but would rather turn to what remains. We’ve added seats to our tables and sound relationships are on the increase. Pastors here are preaching truth with passion and souls are coming to Christ. His presence is tangible and overwhelming.

Differences among these 4 brothers are many. And vast. Yet, they’re all Wilkersons, all equally healthy, all equally attired, and all equally loved by parents. Convinced we’re better in every way when we see others thru the eyes of caring parents rather than as rivaling siblings.

You have to expand the pic to catch the action. But here w the expanse of the Atlantic & endless miles of uncluttered beaches, 4 little g-sons content themselves w shovels & a few sq ft of sand. What if we all enjoyed life’s simplicity apart from the clutching pursuit of it all?

When God made boys… Here, 3 adolescent brothers apply laws of gravity, leverage, and machinery breakdown to respect and honor the Creator. They’ll learn early that Romans 1 will not be their epitaph; but rather they’ll increase in the knowledge and faith of our Father’s love.

Ironic that a young pastor would be spotted near an old, well worn, fishing boat… There may be in this culture softer alternatives in bringing souls to Christ, but being a fisher of men speaks of the arduous labor, timeless wisdom, and priceless passion that Christ modeled.

Here, unaware and with no purpose other than worship, I found myself at an alter Impact Church⁩ Sunday evening service. A son-in-law caught this heavenly and humbling moment of his 2 yo son mimicking Papa. Their innocent, pure, and inquisitive eyes demands our sincerity.

Papa can’t brag about a poor shot at a young buck on Opening Day. But he can admire 2 grandsons (Papa had to leave for a men’s conference) who for hours tracked the wounded buck thru dense woods before finding it. What 6&8 yr old boys would do this? I’m totally awed by this!

Dreams do come true, and the Creator’s genius is revealed in every season. His eternal and transformative will (tho mysterious thru myriad unexpected or unsavory events), constructs every detail and delight of life perfectly unto both a human experience and heavenly expression!
