This new Harbour Quays bus route is big. Speeding up bus trips through the city makes daily life better for people, gets more bus frequency for the same cost and services more destinations. I hope the government will reconsider its decision not to help fund this infrastructure.

The thing is that Wellington does have an opportunity to make a serious dent in cost of living and liveability But it comes from a serious commitment to long-term growth, not from “cutting waste”, of which there is actually not much These clowns have no plan for growth!

Govt don’t have to produce balanced budgets or have asset management plans. Councils do. Yet they’re telling us to address our spending when they’re spending almost a billion dollars on no boats.
