Appeal to incredulity is fallacious reasoning. Thinking something sounds “ridiculous” to you is not a good reason to reject it.

Good morning. If Calvinism were the gospel, you’d have to believe it to be saved. You don’t, so it isn’t.

By looking at how “receive/ accept” work in vv.11-12 and seeing human agency expressed therein.

Everyone who says this will say either: 1. He’s not a real Calvinist or 2. That’s not what he meant!

If God unconditionally elects us to salvation before birth, then love and faith are meaningless, reduced to a predetermined script with no responsibility. That’s ridiculous. Instead, God chose Christ as the Elect One, and all who believe in Him share in it (Ephesians 1:4).
