I've been visualizing COVID testing/cases among Big Ten Conference schools since the start of the semester. Some really interesting bits: - University of Illinois did 2.5% of all US testing on the first day of class; still doing 1% - New: Analysis on B10 resuming football: waf.cs.illinois.edu/covid-analysis/

The latest data from University of Illinois gives us data-forward picture of the "lockdown" success: the 7-day average number of new cases is down by more than 75% after the two-week "lockdown" from where it started. 🎉 Interactive data visualization: waf.cs.illinois.edu/covid-analysis…

The latest data from all Big Ten Conference COVID-19 is updated! Big takeaway: UW–Madison finishes their two-week "lockdown" and sees nearly identical results as University of Illinois had in our two week "lockdown" a few weeks ago. Interactive visualization: waf.cs.illinois.edu/covid-19/?char…

My Big Ten Conference COVID-19 dataset is updated for today -- I've been watching University of Illinois's data for the past week and, today, we've hit a sobering milestone: a week straight of increasing cases/day (on a weekly basis). Latest Big Ten Conference COVID-19 updated. Today's bit: three schools -- University of Illinois, Ohio State, and Indiana University -- all follow nearly the same curve of confirmed cases/day despite widely different testing strategies, policies, state-wide restrictions, and more. 91-divoc.com/pages/covid-19…

My newest 91-DIVOC update adds both "Derivative Charts", showing the rate of change of new cases, and some new fun "Experimental Charts" with more case-lagged CFR rates to nerd out with the data a bit more. 📉📈 Ex: Here's the daily change in new cases: 91-divoc.com/pages/covid-vi…

New 91-DIVOC interactive visualization -- exploring the contribution of the world's COVID-19 cases by region/population. This is one of my favorite graphs I've made, you can really see the spread over the various regions and the current European surge: 91-divoc.com/pages/coronavi…

Newest 91-DIVOC update allows you to graph vaccines allocated and administered by each US state -- hopefully, for humanity, this is the beginning of the end of the need for 91-DIVOC. 🙏 Visualization of vaccines administered: 91-divoc.com/pages/covid-vi…

I've always found it really hard to explore historic weather data. With today as #EarthDay, we just launched a BEAUTIFUL, data-forward radial #visualization of historical temperature data: vis.cs.illinois.edu/weather/temper… I'd love to hear what you think, and any ideas to make it better!
