Please be very careful with what your kids hear about any decisions for distance vs in-person learning. If we are visibly upset in front of our kids, it doesn't help them. It only adds even more stress to a tough situation that they don't fully understand.

Had a great day 1 with teachers in the building. Observed a ton of collaboration and teachers doing spontaneous PD for their colleagues. It is great to start your day with your Computer Club teacher and the club making you a baby shark using a 3D printer because one of your favorite songs is Baby Shark. I love the thoughtful culture we have built here. Just one of the many reasons SJG is #1!

Today at SJG we are wearing gold to recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness month. We have students who are warriors and have beaten cancer. Tomorrow is PJ day with a donation to the American Childhood Cancer Society. Very proud to be part of a school district that cares!

After having successful shoulder surgery on December 2nd, tomorrow is my first day back to school. Very excited to return and start 2025 with my SJG family (staff, students, and parents!)

It’s the 100th day of school. I enter school to find 100 pictures of my high school yearbook photo all over the building and the title “Happy 100 Days of Matt”! This is what makes our school culture awesome. We sure have fun! 😊
