Dungeness. The Sycamore that has hosted several Short-toed Treecreepers, Pallas’s, Yellow Browed and Melodious Warblers to name a few has been cut down. 😢

Dungeness: A brute of a 2w Caspian Gull and a 2w Yellow-legged Gull roosting on the new islands at Denge Marsh this afternoon. Also the gorgeous Yellow-browed Warbler trapped by Tom Wright at the observatory this morning, the 3rd this autumn.

Dungeness: SE 3-4 blowing just a pitiful 2 Balearic Shearwaters from 2 watches today of any note. Minimum 3 Dartford warblers in The Desert not much else. 5 Caspian Gulls on Burrowes this afternoon, 1 ad, 2 x 3W. a 2w and 1w + 2w Y L Gull and a Black-necked Grebe.

Early afternoon bike ride to Scotney GP was quite productive. 2 Black-necked Grebes, 2 Green Sandpipers, a Little Owl and another Dartford Warbler, also 100s of Lapwing, Golden Plover and Wigeon, 5 Marsh Harriers also 3 Barnacle Geese the first I have seen since last Winter.

Dungeness: 3 Yellow-browed Warblers today, also 2 Siberian Chiffchaffs but rarest of all today on the peninsula was a Bullfinch it is certainly the first I have seen at Dungeness this year. Many thanks to Tom Wright of the DBO for the calls and messages.

Dungeness: Lovely to watch this Woodcock come in off the sea at 09.24 then land in front of the sea watch hide exhausted, it was still resting in the same spot at 12.30.
