So many peatlands exist close to industrial hotspots, e.g. blanket bogs at Cave Hill, NI. Their proximity risks high accumulation of toxic pollutants, but peatland contaminants remain poorly constrained worldwide. The PIPES project aims to address this crucial research gap.
