Had the normal practice of allowing a huge protest to march from a confined space been followed, things would have been fine. Instead cops acted under Labor’s ban on marches. This was entirely an anti-Palestine political act. The marching ban must be broken and Minns humiliated.

#Morgan SMS (state) ALP 25.5 L-NP 21.5 ON 26.5 (!?) Grn 13.5 Ind/other 13. Massively different to Resolve which had ON only 11% though it is worth noting Resolve sample was half in previous month. #springst roymorgan.com/findings/10133…

this kind of individualism lasts until the moment they isolate themselves in a dangerous situation; then they accuse anyone who has retreated from the cops (as per the original intention) of betrayal

The slop response is to lock up fucked up kids longer and ignore who continues to defend the ability of religious employers to expel students for being gay or fire gay employers. Kids learn homophobic ideas from homophobic institutions protected by the law.

the current practice of policing protests is vast overexpenditure on OT for cops and astronomically expensive apparatus for protester bashing that is never used. if nothing else a quasi state of exception makes the piggy industrial complex rich

Just remembered this. The AEU is voting on industrial action in schools in Victoria and early childhood educators are going on strike tomorrow. Why is the keynote speech at their Federal Conference about Van Badham's mentions?

Or perhaps listen to gay people and implement a decades old demand we have made (ending religious exemptions), rather than telling us what will make us safer
