Below are Jordana Sanft and my thoughts on the new administrative law cases out of the Supreme Court of Canada. Come for the terrible pun in the title, stay for everything you need to know about arguably the most important non-criminal cases the Supreme Court of Canada will decide this year.

This is probably true of most existing legal research projects, which is unfortunate. We currently operate with a massive deficit of empirical information around how legal processes actually work and what effect legal rules have. Those take a lot of $ to research properly.

Sanis Health v BC was on its face a narrow case about the constitutionality of a particular provision in a unique statute. But it also sets out a lot of broad propositions of class action law generally that will matter well beyond opioids litigation. Our comments below!

The Osgoode Library houses the rare Supreme Court of Canada factum collection (1877–1981). Prof McMahon is leading efforts to index it, making it accessible to researchers & the legal community, with plans to digitize & preserve it for future generations. osgoode.yorku.ca/news/the-osgoo…

Hey Amazon Canada, I bought a toaster, and got two toasters by mistake. But we were only charged for one. I’m trying to return it (without getting the refund, which would be fraud), but I literally cannot find any way to contact customer service to explain this. Help!
