I was on a flight this morning and someone was watching a movie without headphones and at first I was annoyed and then I heard the music— and realized it was Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. Then I was like, “crank it on up!”

Nothing is making me feel more confident in cutting my book length than being sick of a super long book I’m reading but having too much time invested to DNF. 😖 Noted, universe. Noted.

I listened to the Shining on audiobook on my way to Estes Park— and packed a costume to play dress up and make believe at the Stanley Hotel. I originally read it in 7th grade. It was the first book that ever well and truly scared me. Thanks for the goodness, Stephen King
