The First Farmer walks the boreen with a weary sigh. It seems longer today, stretching to the horizon under a cornflower sky. In time, as earth and hedges wax and wane, his descendants will call the path he cut the #twitchel, the holloway, the sunken lane. #vss365 #LandmarksVss

Where the #twitchel meets the steading there is a stone older than the idea of farms: an erratic; a granite #skerry in a sea of mud. After the funeral the First Farmer's first son sits atop it to sip his ma's griggle cider, watch the sun set, and remember. #vss365 #LandmarksVss

The funeral caused little #delay: farms wait for no man. The cattle were fed and milked before the First Farmer's sons bore him down the #twitchel to the granite orchard. A few words were spoken over him, but they ended with a gruff, "Best get back to work." #vss365 #LandmarksVss

But sometimes, not everything works - we already had a leaking sink, a flooded bathroom (twice, in two different hotels) and three false fire alarms (all in the same hotel) - so sometimes all you can do is #complain. Your #prompt for today is #complain. Enjoy! #vss365
