I found myself telling our guinea pigs that sometimes life is hard and they’re just going to have to learn to deal with it a little better. I might need a bit more sleep.

We have learned so much about how to worship together online since last Easter. I’m so very grateful. And yet, I hope with all my heart that next year our online services are in addition to a church overflowing with people.

I’ve been reading about the rise of evangelical churches and the steep decline in mainline churches in America. In the 1780s and 90s. I’m not in denial about what is happening to the church today. But I sure am interested in better understanding historical context.
