Despite media reports, Leeds is not an area of concern for C19 nationally. Leeds new infection rates have continued to trend downwards over the last week to 8.6 per 100,000 today. Let’s do everything we can to keep infections low. Tom Riordan @cllrjudithblake Rebecca Charlwood

Better news today on the Leeds case rate which is down to 219.4 per 100k (from 229.5) and positivity down to 9.5% (from 9.7%). Watch out for the flood warnings given the continuing rainfall and please act as if you’ve got the virus by staying in unless essential.

Leeds case rate is stable at 209.4 per 100k - that’s a 10% reduction but still over 235 cases per day. Positivity or the proportion of people testing positive is down to 9.2%. Let’s do all we can to continue the trend by staying at home unless essential & keeping our distance

Leeds case rate has broken through the 200 barrier today & is down to 196.8 per 100k. Positivity down slightly to 8.8%. Let’s keep the downward trend going and try and accelerate it by staying at home unless vital, keeping our distance & getting vaccinated when called by the NHS
