Common messages of excellent presentations from 🇬🇧 🇮🇪 🇵🇹 🇵🇱 🇳🇴 🇳🇿 was that World Day on Drowning Prevention (25 July) provided an "opportunity" for engaging stakeholders across tue board, from government to grassroots community's on water safety and DP. Start planning for 2024!

Today, Bloomberg Philanthropies announced a $60M investment towards its Initiative to Prevent Drowning, which will work with partners globally to implement data-driven, proven solutions that will prevent drowning deaths.

Drowning has taken more than 2.5 million lives over the last decade. We're investing an additional $60M to scale proven solutions that save lives in Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Uganda, and Viet Nam, and to launch new efforts in 10 U.S. states with high numbers of drowning deaths.
