Today, Bloomberg Philanthropies announced a $60M investment towards its Initiative to Prevent Drowning, which will work with partners globally to implement data-driven, proven solutions that will prevent drowning deaths.

Drowning has taken more than 2.5 million lives over the last decade. We're investing an additional $60M to scale proven solutions that save lives in Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Uganda, and Viet Nam, and to launch new efforts in 10 U.S. states with high numbers of drowning deaths.
