An Operation Florian team has arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe to deliver our next training programme! Today they visited the Fire Station ahead of the training beginning tomorrow. Make sure you check back for daily updates from the team 🚒

After a warm welcome from the Chief Fire Officer of #Harare along with his staff and #Firefighters from around #Zimbabwe, the hard work from the Operation Florian team has begun! Today the teams were able to make a start on delivering RTC, BA and Medical training 🚒

It’s not just Firefighting we teach at Operation Florian! This week medical training is being delivered to Harare ambulance service by UK Paramedics, Peter and Adam. Following vital theory based training the team set up numerous scenarios which the students dealt with admirably.

It’s not all work and no play for the Operation Florian team! After a busy week teaching, the CFO and City Council treated the team to a #safari drive to witness the stunning scenery and wildlife #Zimbabwe has to offer 🇿🇼.

Today and every day we are proud to celebrate our emergency services colleagues and thank them for their continuous hard work, dedication and commitment. We also remember those who have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty. #999Day

It’s been a hot week for BA instructors Sam, Pat, Darren and Shay who have been working hard with both theory and practical sessions. A visit to a high rise building in the city also allowed for different scenarios to improve skills and confidence.
