Seyhan Avşar from Halk TV (Seyhan Avşar ) is under investigation by the İstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for her reporting on the death of a suspected individual who was detained in the southern province of Hatay, Turkey on 11 February 2023.

The trial before the Appellate Court in Belgrade, Serbia, is a prelude to the end of the trial of four former members of the Department of State Security, accused of murdering journalist and media owner Slavko Ćuruvija on 11 April 1999. The hearing will last from 6 -10/3/ 2023.
