She wants to soothe her little wolf, but she knows that it won’t do much but distress her daughter. And that hurts.

Alright, no junk food. Big mum hugs though. “I’ve got you. Mummy’s got you safe and warm.”

Gently shushing him, she pressed a kiss to his forehead, nimble fingers running through his hair. “I know, Teddy, I know. I’m here. Mum’s right here and Merlin knows she isn’t leaving you.”

Her heart wrenched at his pain, hands going to pull him closer. It varied on the month as to how bad it was, but today was clearly bad. “I know, baby. I know.”

Seeing her son cry only made her tear up more. Reaching up to dry his eyes as best as possible, she pressed gentle kisses to his forehead. “I know, baby, I know. You can do this. You’re brave, like your dad. I’ll get you a pain potion to help, okay?”

Pressing more kisses to his head, she gently led him over to her sofa, sitting him down and quickly summoning a pain potion. “Here. It’ll help. I’m right here, baby, mum is right here.”

Sitting herself next to her son, she gently ran her fingers through his hair in a soothing manner. “You don’t need to thank me, Teddy. Come here.”
