This morning there was a shooting around the corner from my district office. We are on the scene and will be posting more information as the detectives investigate. For now, our team is safe and our thoughts are with those who were impacted by this violence.

Councilmember Christopher Marte office in Chinatown is amid shelters on Grand Street, Broom Street, and 3 (HERCCS) in the financial district. Daily, between 20 to 30 asylum seeker families visit the council member’s to collect clothes and receive information about the resources available to them.
