Tropical Storm Elsa is expected to impact the NYC metro area late Thursday night through Friday morning. The biggest threat is currently the potential for heavy rainfall leading to localized flash flooding. There is also a secondary threat of gusty/strong winds:

Excessive Heat Warning today for NE New Jersey and NYC and a Heat Advisory for the remainder of the area. Remember to have plenty of water on hand if working or traveling outside. Temperatures today will feel in excess of 100°F! Stay cool!
